II. The Making of a Medium Video Series: Series II

The six programs of Series I featured composers Gunther Schuller, Ned Rorem, Leslie Bassett, Karel Husa, Thea Musgrave and Alan Hovhaness. Each program contains interviews with the composers and a performance of their work by the Verdehr Trio. These are available from Instructional Media Center of Michigan State Univ., East Lansing, Michigan 48824 (5l7 353 9229).

Series II consists of newly-completed programs hosted by Peter Schickele and featuring Libby Larsen, Gian Carlo Menotti, and Joan Tower. Available by the end of 2005

In progress, completing Series II, are programs with David Diamond, William Bolcom, Alexander Arutiunian, Betsy Jolas, Robert Mann, Peter Sculthorpe and Bright Sheng.

 

III. The Making of a Medium Music Series:

Music commissioned by the Verdehr Trio is being published in co-operation with the Michigan State Univ. Press. This Series is the third offshoot of the commissioning project of the Verdehr Trio. The first publications of this new series now available are:
